About the song 

 

The River. A deep current moves us and holds all the ways we can be; all the possibility and potential of an embodied life in this world. I may have some agency within it, but I acknowledge that there are greater forces at play driving me forward which are far beyond my control. It is a delicate balance between humility and volition. 

 

I wrote this song as an homage to the Flow that moves us. A prayer. An intention to welcome the world as it is. To walk lightly on the earth. To hold tightly to life’s precious moments and drink their sweet nectar. And to let them go again with grace. 

 

All the while the River flows. We are all born into these great currents; steeped in something set in motion eons ago, beyond understanding and ever-present. Timeless. Wordless. I bow to the wonder.
