Meet the Artist
CHRISTINA ENIGMA
A journey begins
As soon as my tiny hands could reach the keys of the piano I was fascinated by all the different sounds that could come about. Oh what a life this will be! I discovered a true passion for classical piano, through Beethoven’s sonatas I could finally start to express myself, or at least different sides of myself.
When I moved away from home at 17 I got a guitar so I could sing Janis Joplin and songs of the Beatles. Music is one of the best ways to make friends!
Moving to Montreal I found myself with some of the weirdest people I had ever met where we organized “Experimental Choir” on a regular basis and experimented with our voices and other corporal sounds.
It wasn’t long before some of us formed the psychedelic-folk band called “KyAzMa” and started throwing shows at local venues and played across the country in music festivals like Manifesting Magic, to Astral Harvest, Burning Man and beyond. We released the album “The Magician’s Mirror” in 2016 and later I played with Syrian producer Firas Nassri and Falco Croatico.
Now the time has come to produce my first solo album which will be designed for 3D sound spatialization spaces.
“Time” is my first official solo track and it’s a HUGE honour to be releasing it with Jamhouse records!
Bold and boundless
I am a Montreal based singer, multi-instrumentalist and producer. Through my music I explore concepts of the human experience, death, trials and tribulations, as well as the individual and collective capacity for resilience. In the genre of downtempo deep electro-soul, my sultry voice is the main instrument weaving together harmony, song and poetry that strives to reconcile my identity with collective human experience.

My solo career is proving to be equally bold and boundless as I work with my organic instrumentation mixed with loop and beat machines. I strive to design music and soundscapes for spatialized immersive sonar experiences.

Janis Joplin, The Doors, Beck, Chet Faker, Tom Waits, Rising Appalachia, Etta James, Deya Dova, Massive Attack, Radiohead, and Fleetwood Mac are some of my main musical inspirations…oh, and there are so many more!
A gift
Music is a gift of presence, a connecting point for us all. I believe in the transformative power of art and music as tools for personal and collective empowerment. I desire to inspire humans to find their voices, express themselves creatively, and contribute to positive change in the world.
What my musical influences have gifted me is the value of inspiration and curiosity, authentic expression and celebration which is perfectly priceless. I want to pass along this gift and continue connecting and collaborating in this wild world.
The Jamhouse connection
Jamhouse is a place where we can let go and get freaky, jam with total newbies and professionals and everybody is free, open hearted, open minded. The people, the connections, the music, the food…it's all just SO GOOD!
I remember one of the most amazing jams when I first came to Montreal, like around 2010…jamhouse, courtyard, boom boom boom, yada yada yada… “it's better than a bixi”
LEGENDARY. The rest is history in the making ~
Emma represents community and music…she is epic in so many ways and I trust her artistic visions. She is the reason I want to release with Jamhouse Records!
Passions
I work as a Thai-yoga massage therapist, a practitioner of positive vibes! To me, music and massage are intricately connected aspects of my life's purpose. They both serve as pathways, creating space and clearing away what's no longer beneficial, ultimately igniting the healing process. I also host communal jams which are always nutritious and delicious! I have been found offering soundscapes in yoga sessions, ecstatic dance, and I aim to move towards performing more sound healing sessions in the near future.
