Welcome to the Jamhouse Records Studio!
Tucked amid the walls of the Jamhouse (voted Best Underground Venue 2014, Cult MTL) 

in the heart of Tiohtià:ke / Montreal.

The Jamhouse was born out of small gatherings around food and music in 2010.

Emma Anders was attending Concordia University, and would host jams on a Wednesday night which would start with a pot luck, and sometimes have a costume theme. Gathering the neighbours around the courtyard and friends from school, the crowd attending would eventually grow bigger and these gatherings would move to a Thursday night, and eventually to Friday nights. Over the years, the jams continued, as well as many other projects such as "Free School" (workshops and skill-shares open to the public), courtyard markets, open mics, shows, screenings, ceremonies....to globe-trotting caravans (and international festival and workshop organization....

Today, the Jamhouse community extends far and wide. Jamhouse Records was launched in January 2023 and this studio was brought to life by Emma Anders with the intention of continuing to facilitate spaces in the community for creative expression and exploration. We hope you enjoy the music coming out of here!
